About Me

I’m Marissa.

Originally from Porterville, California, a small town located between Bakersfield and Fresno. Lately, I have found myself consuming agriculture and water related documentaries as they both affect the local economy of my home area. And even though I now live on the east coast, you can still find me making time to visit family in the greater Los Angeles area, or in Greeley, Colorado. I’m 100% a proud small town girl from a farming community.

I enjoy bungee jumping, reality tv, beer, magazines, social media, campaigns, blogging, telecommunications, data analysis, politics, and planning my next international adventures. Oh, and anything tacos-related has my heart. 1743675_10203288720041789_916886797_n-1

  1. I talked with Mr. Ross today and he said you were attending John Hopkins.

The soccer player from the Eastside is now working for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C. and attending John Hopkins. You are a testimony to the value of dreams, hard work, and believing in “Yes, we can!”

We are so proud of you. When Mica wakes up in the morning, I’m going to show her your website and tell her “See. If you just believe and work hard, you can mold your own future.”

It is fun as a high school teacher to be able to witness the success of former students. It helps me believe that i have helped make the world a little better place through the efforts of my former students.

Jed is now a sophomore at the University of Delaware and Mica will be entering the mighty 8th grade.

    Very proud of you!
